The Medical Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic quality routine and specialized moderate and high complexity laboratory tests according to pre-established guidelines. Schedules and observes time-management techniques according to departmental productivity and efficiency standards while observing a quality patient care experience. Performs instrument function checks and preventative maintenance procedures and maintains records and statistical data according to regulatory requirements.

Must be proficient in quality control and patient testing in all areas of laboratory (hematology, coagulation, chemistry, urinalysis, blood bank, gram stain performance, and culture set up.) Should be able to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting for all departments.

Bachelor's degree in medical technology or laboratory science (clinical laboratory science/medical laboratory science) and registered as a Medical Technologist,

MT (ASCP) with licensure in the state of Louisiana.
